It has been a most unusual winter here. Not very cold and there has definitely been more sunshine than rain in this neck of the woods. Early signs of spring are everywhere. I just hope we won’t get any hard freezes.
Yesterday I planted a bare-root Stark Donut Peach tree. These are my very favorite peaches. Also started some tomato seeds in between moist paper towels . I put them into ziplock baggies to keep them damp. Once they are sprouted, I will transplant them into small containers. This method has worked well for me over the years. I’ve used it with peppers and eggplant too. Seems to go much faster then in soil. I just have to keep a close eye on the process to avoid letting the sprouts get too big. In addition, sugar snap pea seeds are soaking in water and awaiting planting. I’ve started weeding the garden as well, in hopes of getting a head start this year and managing to keep up with them.
Have a great Sunday!
Great pictures.I’m envious of your yard. I want a Daphne plant. They smell so good. I will be happy to cut the grass. I’m afraid we still have a freeze or two coming.

The Daphne is across the street, right by the mailbox! I love getting the mail while it is in its glory. Grass needs to mowed here too.
