Zunday Zen … Home … It’s where the Heart is!

Portland is a special place
it’s “weird”,
it’s hip,
it’s cool.

From up above
here on display is
Portland’s living room.

We have it all!
The suburban mall,
the wild and rugged coast,
we have the Gorge for beautiful hikes,
the mountains, desert and rivers.

But whenever I see
far-off destinations on display…
I wonder …

My wanderlust spirit,
my gypsy soul …

Where will I go next?

  1. I see that wanderlust and feel it just as deep. I thought I’d be here until the end but I know now that I’m getting itchy again and looking for something simpler. This is getting to be too much work for me. Told the kid tonight that a senior facility is sounding pretty good these days. I too need to offload a great deal to make that happen.

  2. I love wandering until I feel that home is calling. And then to realize I live in a place people choose to wander to. Why am I so fickle? Fabulous photos of beautiful PDX! Have a great week, my friend!

    • Being fickle is a good thing at the right time. We were up on the 30th floor from where everything looks so much smaller! It made me think about all the places I’ve lived in. Portland has definitely become home, but whenever I head south to visit our old stomping grounds in California, my heart skips a beat. That’s the place I love most, probably because of the roots and nourishing friendships I cultivated there! 😎

    • Hey Anne! There are no trips in my immediate future, but dreaming and thinking about all that’s out there in the world to discover. It makes me want to pack my suitcase and ……. 😉
