We did a number of short road trips last summer. One of the places we explored was Bellingham, Washington. It’s about halfway between Seattle and the Canadian border. There were lots of city parks, a board game pub, colorful murals, donuts with enough sugar to beam one up, and some really good coffee at the Lettered Street Cafe.
Hopefully we’ll make it back again to check out more of the surrounding area. There’s the Puget Sound, Mount Baker Wilderness area and Victoria, B.C. just a ferry ride away! This place really offers something for everyone!
Did you go on any road trips last summer?
That’s such a pretty area. We used to have family who lived in the Seattle area so we’d visit fairly regularly. There’s so much to explore!
We did a big road trip last summer, but to the south. We called it our desert trek, down through southern Nevada, Death Valley and over into California. It was a lot of miles, but absolutely amazing! Road trips are the best.

Your desert trek sounds fantastic! Death Valley has been on my must-visit list since the early 80’s. Maybe it’s time to actually go there!
I’m still learning about Washington, and doing it the traveling way is fun and very educational. In so many ways.
Have a good week Missy! 🙋

It really is a nice city to visit! It’s really looks a lot like around here, green trees, mountains and they of course have the Sound and all the little islands.

I get to go to a wedding this summer on Whidbey Island. I love that place and have been in a few years so I am excited.
