You are very lucky to have such a lovely visitor every day. I have one that I occasionally listen to but he isn’t on my property. He’s a true New Yorker and is loud enough for me to hear from next door. It’s truly beautiful to stop and listen that music when the city is finally still before daybreak. I am hanging in there Sabine. I really appreciate you asking. I am trying to keep motivated and energized throughout this heat wave. The heat makes me very sluggish.
Sometimes, it actually is. I need to add video to my blog so that you can see what I mean. When I visited the Met Cloisters, it was exactly like that. Also it can be like that when I walk on the boardwalk near my home early or in the Winter season.
Until your blog came along I never thought I might want to visit your city. But after reading your posts all these years I might just have to one spring! I would want to birdwatch in Central Park during the migration season and perhaps have coffee with you!
I would love that! New York is most beautiful in the Spring and Autumn. I would also suggest visiting upstate, well at least for a couple of days. All the forest might remind you of home.
You have the best back yard. Saw humming birds here this morning but they are too fast for me to photograph. None here sing to me though. 😉 Hoping you are safe and sound. Thinking of you. Thank you for the little video. 🙂
I completely missed this comment! The internet has been a bit touchy! You’re always welcome to come over and hang out with this songster and me! I’ll send you an email later! 😘
Gorgeous little birdie!

He is, isn’t he! He lives here year around and serenades us every single day.
How are things with you Trudy?

I’m glad you’re okay! Quiet and stillness are sometimes hard to find in this world! 🙋

Yes, it is. Especially in this hectic city. But when it is quiet and still, it’s like you’re standing in a painting

Honor is paid,
Sincere, not staid,
As our crooner softly played,
A lovely song, that peace relayed.
