How amazing that you captured them in flight and that wing action. The video and their little peeps makes you feel good that you contributed to their well being with the suet treat doesn’t it Sabine?
I do enjoy all the creatures in my garden. With so much habitat destroyed in the world I like making a difference, if only a small one. But if enough of of pitch in it will make a bigger difference!
That is for sure – we need to preserve wildlife, whether it is the tiniest creatures, to the largest creatures. Today I saw two black ducks – never seen black ducks before and because fellow walkers at Council Point Park know I enjoy the various feathered and furry friends, they always come rushing over to point something out – no pictures though, they were dabbling and spent all their time with most of their bodies underwater. But when they came up for air, I got a good luck at them.
That’s amazing – I hope to see them tomorrow. There was much activity in the Creek due to all the shad fish … I actually (finally) got a picture of a heron with the fish in its mouth. It was across the Creek and I had to take it through the branches, but I will use it as you can see the fish flip-flopping in its mouth. 🙂
I was happy with the heron since I didn’t have a clear shot at it … you can see the fish flopping in its mouth so I’ll use it in a post this weekend along with some other photos taken at Council Point Park – it will be a fun post based on some treats I left for the furry and feathered critters.
Oh, bird in flight….beautiful capture Sabine!

Thanks Tom! I have to confess that I don’t practice anything either. I hope your Sunday is just perfect for you! 🙂

Good! Don’t practice meditative things; repetition and “following directions” dulls the mind. 🙂

Fortunately I’ve never done well with following directions! 😉

I saw some black ducks this summer in California. A friend had two of them along with a tame goose that eats out of her hand! 😊
