  1. Fantastic photos! I only see mine on my deck and they’re brown. Are they chameleaon? (I had to look up that spelling!). I should look for them more. When we have great grasshopper years I see a lot. I find their cases every year, but not so much the adults. I think they are the only insect that can rotate their head. So cool you shared!

    • Thanks! I am not sure if this one changes colors. The fun part is keeping the egg sac in a terrarium and watch all the babies hatch. I used to order some online when my kids were little. Once hatched we’d turn them loose and try to find them in the garden. I need to go outside and see if I can find the egg sac!
