My wish list is small
For I am lucky to have it all:
A cozy, warm home,
A husband with whom the globe I love to roam.
Two wonderful kids, now adults and all grown,
both living nearby, but all on their own.
My kinship with George and Penelope
across the briny, endless blue sea.
Friends, who love and support me, up and down the Left Coast
Such treasured friendships surely deserve a toast!!!
My creative side I share here in the blogosphere,
With many diverse and talented bloggers, from afar and near!
Learning something new-to-me daily from a myriad of posts,
Makes it virtually impossible, to try and pick which ones I like the most!
Many of my blogging friends have been around from the very start,
And over this past year, they’ve grown very dear to my heart!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year
is In cahoots with muddy boots with a big Thank You, and lots of good cheer!
I LOVED your poem. So beautifully said. I don’t want to gush but I am. (see me gushing) 🙂

So true, so vital to keep our gratitude close to our hearts; for it provides marvelous perspective and an avenue to appreciate all life delivers, most of all our family and friends.

Thanks! It’s sometimes easy to overlook the most important things in life: family, friends, community. Things money can’t buy!

You’re right, those are the things we most often take for granted, but they are the most precious 🙂
