Happy Friday Kaffeetrinken from my Garden!

Happy Friday!, In my Garden, Musings, Nature, Photography

I was writing down some ideas for a story on the patio, when suddenly my friend, the red dragonfly, stopped in for a photo shoot and Kaffeetrinken!

Kaffeetrinken with Incahoots!

Not much writing happened while my friend hung around! 😉

Fortunately I had my camera next to me, so I took a few more photos of this fascinating creature.  This red dragonfly seems to have taken a liking to our garden.
Wednesday evening around dusk, ZD McGee and I were sitting on the lawn, when suddenly the same dragonfly reappeared and circled us in a figure 8 type pattern. Lucky for us, it caught quite a few mosquitoes.

I will be sitting my the garden tonight, to watch the sun set,
hummingbirds battle and the dragonfly gobble up more mosquitos!
Where will you sit tonight?

Have fun!

  1. ZD McGee! 😉 You make me laugh and I’m just getting started with my kaffee trinken this morning. I might have to make a whole pot after this. Red has taken a shine to you and decided to sit a spell. I am just so tickled for you. I probably will not be outside the rest of this week and most of the next. Heat pulls the plug on me. Have a Fantabulous Friday!!!

  2. Looks like you have a flying friend 😁. We’re going camping, so our evening will be spent with birds and chipmunks and whatever other creatures come out. Happy Friday to you, too, Sabine!

Marvelous coverage, as usual, of this wondrous phenomenon! This botanical garden creates an oasis of peace in these turbulent times. May our fleeting friend be a harbinger of more harmonious times to come! Namaste!🙏

      • Not much this summer. My daughters have been visiting a lot one from Denver and one from Germany. But soon. I have a graduation in Denver when my oldest gets her Masters degree. Woo hoo! Then a vacation in Mexico followed by a wedding in Nashville, TN, my home growing up. Still lots of family. I love it! How about you?

      • Not much in the way of travel right now. We’ve been doing some home renovations which take up a surprising amount of time and energy, not to mention money. 😂 I’m glad you get to travel some!
