Hi Sabine – thank you for linking Parker and me to your very cute blog post. I love this picture of your squirrel shimmying up this big Douglas Fir with a huge acorn – looks half as big as he is! Then he sits on the tiniest little branch to enjoy it. So sweet!! I am on my way down to the Park now, then home to work in the yard … wet leaves – not too enticing. Thank you again for linking my gluttoness squirrel post. 🙂

You are welcome Linda! Your squirrel stories have made me appreciate them more, though I’m still not too fond of them in the yard. Once they got used to getting fed they quickly turned aggressive if things didn’t get put out for them in time. I love seeing them up on the lookout post! 😉

Marlene, he’s regular size, just way up on the tree. That’s the favorite hangout for the squirrels to keep an eye on the happiness down below. A couple of times we saw an owl there at night. We could only see the silhouette and the glowing eyes! My Sunday was zen and I hope yours too! 😉

I put sunflower seeds and safflower seeds in my mother-in-law’s bird feeder for the squirrels to eat out of it (which they do) but they crashed the whole feeder down and ate everything on the ground! Mischievous!

Squirrels will do that! They chewed through the wire hangers of a couple of feeders so they’d fall down. I keep challenging them since some of our neighbors feed them. At home I like them at this distance! 😉
