We had a delightfully snowy morning last Monday.
I got up and raced out the door before even drinking my coffee!
Our neighborhood was quiet and so peaceful!
And I was smitten with this fun Easter Garden up the Loop.
I’m not fond of the plastic eggs, but hey …
the snow sure made them look super special and a bit magical.
I haven’t blogged in a while and hope to get back into my rhythm here.
Now I will check my reader and visit all my favorite blogs!
Happy Easter from my dreamy, snowy neighborhood.

So glad you are back, Sabine. I have missed you. I love these photos, especially the snow hats on the eggs. Our winter, too, seems to want to linger like an unwanted houseguest. Hope it warms up soon for your lovely garden.

Iβm glad Iβm back too! The late snow was a nice surprise and luckily it didnβt last long. The garden is getting started as the weather allows. πββοΈ

Haha, I see that I should have checked my comment….whatever Raster is…glad you were able to read between the crazy fingers typing. We are doing well. It’s nice to be somewhat back to normal. How about you?

Weβre fine as well. I still wear a mask at the store since I donβt know other peopleβs status. It is nice to relax a bit more and hopefully I can visit California soon. We did go to the beach not too long ago for a couple of days and it was heavenly! Even the weather cooperated and we got a gorgeous sunset!

Sabine – I’m behind as usual, so what a treat to see you have returned with this Easter post in my Reader. Not only is the snow beautiful, but the colorful eggs add a touch of whimsy as do the cute critters prowling around in the snow. π Our two-inch snowfall from yesterday has now melted and they say we may have turned a corner and left Winter behind. I will believe it when I see it.

Hi Linda, this was our biggest snow event for this winter. Luckily it happened just in time for the Easter display! π The weather in your area sounds like itβs been wild. Hopefully we will all bathe in sunshine soon! πββοΈ

I hope good weather is on the horizon Sabine. We do have 70s, maybe 80 Sunday, a two-day warm-up, then we have cold and a little more snow. You were lucky having all the decorations out as the freshly fallen snow made it look magical. We still had snow on Tuesday morning when I walked at the Park, just on the grass, not on the sidewalks or perimeter walking path.

Good weather will happen! Before we know it everybody will complain about the heat. The Easter display was a few doors down the street from us so all I had to do was walk by and not worry about setting it up and taking it down. π

Yes Sabine and I always say I won’t complain about the heat and humidity, but then I will inevitably complaint. I thought it was your own. It was nice with the snow. My neighbor had a large chocolate rabbit she put out this year and some over-sized eggs and over-sized wooden tulips. She had a similar set-up a few years ago and we had a windstorm and everything blew away.

These photos are great! I had no idea they decorate trees like that over there, too. I know the plastic is meh but they get re-used every year.
Still, some Americans take yard decorating to insane levels π

In my 40+ years in the US this was my first decorated “Easter Garden” I spotted. Perhaps it’s more common in other areas than out on the left coast. Plastic anything isn’t great, but it’s really mostly unavoidable and like you said at least the eggs get reused. Happy belated Easter to you! π

Thank you! To be honest, we only have wooden Easter eggs but they didn’t even make it out of the basemant this year. With a house comes great opportunities & shores — which we don’t have … but I remember. I really don’t know what’s better. Maybe small is much better for decluttering. But I remember my American friends putting out their Halloween yard stuff! They made Christmas look like a sad fest π

The only Easter eggs I like are made of chocolate! π I am in the simplify camp and have always avoided accumulating too much stuff other than books. At Christmas our neighborhood is all decked out and the displays are getting fancier every year. I just think thatβs a lot of stuff to store.
