There is a nip in the air,
the leaves are starting to turn
and even the flowers are beginning to look like autumn.
Where did summer go?
Have a wondrous first weekend of fall!

Why thank you! My humble offering to your implied Zen koan is that the summer whooshed right past, evaporated and/or disappeared before our collective consciousness – as any select segment of time is apt to “unbecome”. With my Friday now complete, I shall wend my way to Pliney Place for some further philosophical deliberation. Perhaps I will see you there?!

I will miss the longer days of light but not the long nights of heat. There is a chill in the air and the colors are all darker, as they should be. Summer has taken up residence for a bit in the southern hemisphere. Any who miss it can find it there. 🙂

Hey Marlene, I can’t believe how quickly summer disappeared! I do like all seasons, but warm and sunny days will be missed here! 😉

Where I live (in the Hudson Valley), fall is the best season.

That’s what I’ve heard! We get some nice fall colors too, but nothing like your neighborhood! 🙂
