Ominous skies are a given during our seemingly endless rainy season, which made me appreciate these bright red roses even more. I noticed them in the parking lot of my favorite grocery store the other day. Moments after I got back into my car, the clouds burst open and flooded the parking lot.
Today however the sun came out just in time for all the Black Friday shoppers! I’ve never participated in this ritual because I don’t care for all the craziness and crowds. In years past people would form a line in front of some of the stores and camp in tents to be first in line when the stores would open super early the morning after Thanksgiving. Not my idea of fun, especially with online shopping being so easy and effortless these days.
But who am I to say!Β Are you a Black Friday shopper?
Happy Black Friday!
Happy Weekend!

Thanks so much! One doesn’t always have to go somewhere special to capture moments like this! :))

No black Friday shopping here either. We were busy celebrating a birthday with the birthday boys favorite Semmel KnΓΆdel and Kartoffel Knoedel with his favorite meat gravy. Sorry. It was a good day though. I have nothing to buy so there is no reason to shop. Hope you are having a good week. I can hardly wait until the following week. π

Sounds like the celebration was a success! It was quiet around here, with just the two of us, Netflix, homemade pizza and some of those devilish cherries! π The week will be a good one here. I wish the same for you! π
Be well and stay warm! Hugs! π€

My daughter LOVES your cherries. I gave her ONE. π Tired beyond words.

Only one. She wants to know how to make them. π One more week and I’m free to get caught up (started) on my Christmas sewing.

They are just the cherries from the cherry bounce. Once itβs ready to be strained, you dip the cherries in melted dark chocolate. Leaving the stems on makes it much easier! π π

That’s what I told her. Children! π¦ Heading over in a few minutes for my CT scan. π¦ Still won’t know anything for a couple of weeks.about that but had written diagnosis from my doctors, Cowards. One more week and my life is my own again. Hugs

Lovely shots, Sabine. You have such a good eye! No Black Friday shopping for me either. I have nothing to buy – a lot to give away though. π

Thanks LuAnne! Weβve been going through all our worldly possessions for months. It feels good to pass things on to others and toss whatβs no longer in good shape. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! π

I used to enjoy shopping on Black Friday, back in the day. Now, Iβd rather just go grab coffee at a favorite spot and enjoy. BTW, gorgeous photos. Have a fabulous weekend!

Black Friday is a good day to go to the supermarket: it is not crowded.
