… raindrops …
… gently falling …
… tiny surface waves …
… forming …
… expanding …
… gliding …
…each identical … yet different …
… intermingled …
… separate …
… tranquil …
… never-ending …
… ripples …
… drip … drip … drip …
… then silence …
Every time I visit my favorite park
I pause on the bridge across the small creek
and quietly “watch the water”.
This last time was enchanting when raindrops
created magical ripples in the water.

Hey Sabine. I really enjoyed the video. It was like watching a gray version of a kaleidoscope. Have a great week!

I’m glad you enjoyed the video, Missy! I found it so meditative to stand and watch the creekside kaleidoscope. That’s a perfect description of it. I do miss the writing class sometimes and I still think fondly of many of your poems and pieces! You are an inspiration to me with your wordsmith abilities. 🙂

So pretty and peaceful to watch and listen to Sabine. I had an AM/FM headset radio for years and I used it when I went to bed to block out noises from a noisy neighbor’s dog. It was a godsend and had seven different sounds you could listen to. One was raindrops falling into a puddle. I could zone out in a heartbeat!

That head set sounds like a godsend! I don’t know what I’d do if there was a big raking dog keeping me awake. The sound of raindrops is very soothing and relaxing! I woke up last night and heard the rain drops falling on the deck.

It was very annoying and belonged to the people who owned the house next door (with the maple tree). It was a basset hound baying under my bedroom window … they put the dog outside while they got ready for work (with a departure time of 5:30 a.m.).
