At the crack of dawn
wind strewn small blossoms gathered.
No leaf blowers here!
Every morning on Maui, I awoke to the sounds of noisy birds, the waves breaking on the beach and the slow, rhythmic swooshing sound of a rake being guided across the grass to remove the fragrant plumeria blossoms which had fallen from the trees during the night. I sat on the balcony, watching and listening to this peaceful awakening of each new day.
And I was grateful that leaf no blowers were used at our hotel! š

I hate leaf blowers as well and was happy they didn’t use them at the hotel. The early mornings there were heavenly! š

“No leaf blowers” … yes! I rake some of mine and let the lawn mower’s mulching blade handle the rest.
